Salient Featuresof theWork:

Construction of two land connected breakwaters, eastern and western side of the harbour.

Construction of quay walls by precast concrete blocks and cast-in-situ capping beam including fixing of fenders, bollards, ladders etc.

Dredging up to -5.0m CD to create harbour basin and reclamation by dredgrd material and burrow pit material to create backup area behind the berths.

Design, construction, supply and erection of three number concrete pontoons with retention structures and gangways.

Construction of boat ramp & slipway.

Project Location:

The fishery harbour is proposed at suwaiq town. Wilayat Suwaiq is located in the Batinah Region appoximately 130 km northwest of Muscat. Suwaiq town is well connected by Muscat-Shinas highway. Location of proposed fishery harbour is opposite the wali's office on the seafront.
Plant, Machinery & Equipment:

Some of the Plant, machinery and Equipment deployed on the Project within a sample month are as per the next table. In addiion to the mentioned machineries an automatic 40cum/hr batching plant (made by D.Arakelian in Iran) has been established for providing part of the required concrete for casting the precast concrete armour units (Core Loc Units), quay wall blocks, kerbs and also in-situ concreting for quay wall capping beams and in-situ kerbs and other related fronts.
